Magazine Front Covers

  Tuesday 17th November 2020           Magazine Front Covers L/O: To identify the features on a magazine front cover; to explore genre codes & conversations. Masthead -  A masthead is the heading on the top of the cover for the name of the owner/company.There are normally on the left side of the magazine. Dateline -  The dateline is when the writer reported or published the magazine often with the prise .  Datelines are traditionally placed on the first line of the text of the article, before the first sentence. Main Image - Is to draw attention to people to buy the magazine.Normally covers most of the page and is a major celebrity.  Cover Line -  is like a subheading for the magazine.  The   cover line is  smaller than the masthead but larger than the other  cover lines they go around the main image.
