Media Language Analysis.
L/O: To analyse a media text using Media Language.

In this shot is a medium long shot.

They choose this shot because it  shows more detail and you can tell by the facial expression that this is a serious film.

The clothing is casual and he's clothes are quite tight so he looks stronger.

He has 3 props the gun, the gun holder and the watch. He has the gun  is to show that this is going to be a action film , the gun holder on his leg is to show that he need to be quick of grabbing the gun and the watch might be a gaget.

He's  facial expression is serious.

The background is not a specific place and its just this metallic gold colour to show that the character will be moving places all the time and it also might show that there might be wealthy people.

They kept the DIEGETIC sounds in the trailer to make it look and sound intense, dangerous and intrigue audience to watch the film when it come out.

In the editing they mainly used translations faded to black and straight on. The faded to black is to tell that its in a different time and place and straight on i think is to tell you that its not in order and near the end of the trailer it started to pick up the speed of the shots from the film.

This is a mid shot and you can focus the character in the shot.
In this shot you can tell that this is a horror film.

The clothing is quite old fashion, the setting of this film might happen in a old house.

The props they used in this shot is a old doll called Annabelle.

The facial expression is a creepy smile.

The background is a old wooden wall this shows that this film might happen in a very old house.

The font style is a really nice.

 TRAILERS                                 Tuesday 29th September 2020

In the Tenet trailer, Mise-en-scene  is used effectively to show the importance of the characters. For example, in the scene where they showed some of the characters they all wearing formal clothes the director uses Mise-en-scene to show that they might be a formal look of the characters this creates the impression of that they might use spying toys because not a lot of people where formal clothes except the people that work in a office and this gives the audience a feeling that the film is a spying film.

In the Tenet trailer, camerawork is used effectively to show all the scene of the film. For example, in the scene where they showed the car flipping over  they shook the camera the director uses camerawork to create that effect like you would of been there and make the audience think that this film is a action film.

In the Kingsmen golden circle trailer, soundtrack is used effectively to make the scenes sound intense. For example when there is a fighting scene the music gets louder  and faster a little bit the director  uses camerawork throughout the trailer to make it look dramatic and make the audience think that this is a spy/ action film.

In the Kingsmen golden circle trailer camerawork is used effectively in fighting scenes. For example when they were outside the secret base they used a long shot and a close up to either show there face expression  and to show the fighting scene.

DIRT

1. Use accurate spelling, punctuation & grammar.
2. Explain WHY certain elements of Media language were used.
3. Use the example paragraph to structure your analysis.

In the Kingsmen golden circle trailer, editing is used very effectively at the start they used fading to black to show that specific scene is happening at a curtain time in the film. For example in a close up scene of Eggsy they used a fading to black. The director use that translation add that trailer effect and also to tell the audience that is happening at a different time.

In the Kingsmen golden circle trailer, Mise-en-scene is used very effectively during the film to tell that the characters are spy's but from different places of the world. For example the spy's in England are wearing suits but the ones in Chicago are wearing casual clothes from there.

Great first analysis Maria! Well done.
WWW - you've identified the media language used.
EBI - be more specific about exactly why they have used a particular technique.
