L/O:To effectively develop an idea for a disaster movie.
Genre Conventions
-they always have two or more characters trying to escape
-they mostly escape the disaster in a plane
-earthquake/lightning before the actual disaster
-world ending
-finding out from people/ news
-they are desperate to find people
-main character is mostly a male
-explosions
- loud intense music
-often set in city's
-main character is mostly in the government or military
-lots of special effects
A massive earthquake happens in New York and then that causes a tsunami.
The film is set in New York city the main characters are two girls that try and survive the tsunami by going to the tallest building in New York.The time is set in 2018. building are falling to the ground causing the ground to shake even more than the earthquake did.People are running past the two girls that are standing there confused. one of the girls is wearing black legging and a nice navy blue top with a coat , the other girl is wearing shorts and a oversized black shirt with a coat. The special are the cracks in the ground from the earthquake and the tsunami the colours are bright at the begging cause its summer and then they get darker when the earthquake hits. CAN YOU SURVIVE? The name of the film is Disaster 101.

Equilibrium: its set in New York 2018 they are really busy the two characters meet to hang out like two normal high school girls Emma and Tori.. Emma is 14 years old and tori is 13 years old they knew each other since primary.
Disruption :Minutes later you could see building collapsing in the distance as people are running away in the different direction past Emma and Tori. People were barging/pushing past everyone and to two girls are there standing confused but started running as well seconds later a building collapses near them and thats when they start running even faster but they are still near each other until people separated them and lost each other.There were cracks in the ground from the earthquake. Emma realised that Tori wasn't near her or anywhere around her so she goes back to find Tori. Tori knows that Emma would go to the highest building because she said that as they were running because there might be a chance that a tsunami might hit after this earthquake. Half an hour later the earthquake stops and people start to calm down but Emma and Tori still trying to find each other. They both have there phones on them and are on call trying to find a way how to find each other.
Recognition of disruption : to disrupt normal life some scientists discover that something isn't right and pick up some underground signals that are going higher than normal so they new that a earthquake was coming but they didn't think that it was a huge one.

There is a peaceful day in New York city. Everyone is happy and doing what they normally do. Little did they know that something massive was coming for them. Emma (18 years old) and Tori (19 years old) are best friends they both have a day off of school and they wanted to hang out. 10:00 pm Emma's farther is marine radius and while he's reading the waves from underground he picks up some higher waves from underground.10:35 pm a massive earthquake hit New York. everyone is screaming and pushing past everyone trying to stay alive.
Emma's farther (Josh 40 years old) had warned Emma that here is a chance that a tsunami might hit...
will they survive?

1. ' Im Hungry' - the characters belly rumble/ them looking downwards to there stomach
2. 'i've lost my cat' - the characters looking everywhere with a worried face for there cat saying there name
3. 'i'm so tiered' -the character's looking sleepy and yawning
4. "i'm late for school' - he character is getting ready faster with a worried face and more in a rush.
5. 'i'm really annoyed at her' - the character will glare at the person there annoyed at/rolling eyes
Great idea - you need to finish the five narrative stages though
